It's actually smooth but it's missing notes for an IPA.

I mean I’m sure it fits the imperial IPA style but the alcohol flavor was too overpowering

Bleh…just a big old malt bomb with hop bitterness. This beer is kind’ve a dinosaur. Perhaps in 2005 it was something remarkable, but now it just tastes like a flabby, out-of-date relic, and in that regard it more-or-less reflects Dogfish as a whole.

With breweries like sloop redefining what an IPA is, this is woefully shallow in flavor and excessively boozy. Tastes like they mixed this with vodka.

Honestly I’m ticked off. I blame 2020, everything sucks now. I’m guessing cheating on malts. What was gods nectar, is not gone. Starts off good but ends quickly.
