120 Minute IPA

IPA - Imperial / Double

The Holy Grail for hopheads! Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copius amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundently hoppy.

Love the surprise of finding 120. Always great. This place is selling the 12 oz bottle for $23. Did they know I’d pay $30?

Not a bad way to enjoy this. It’s good. A little overrated, but I’d drink it again.

This is a sweet, booze brew. It’s just too big, too sweet, and really, tiring way to hard. I keep trying to be happy, & think it’s great, but it’s just too much. Always wanted & still really

Breaking out a heavy hitter for (maybe) the last IUBB game of the year. This is big and bold, bright and floral, with a pulpy sweetness. As boozy as it is hoppy.

I knew going in that this was going to be a 5 (based on other check ins) but it lives up to the hype. Fresh: thick/heavy-almost Barleywine-ish?, hell-it even looks like a BW! Definitely invest in a few more-says “ages well”-gonna test that for an IIPA

Booooozy aroma. Bitey, boozy flavor. Notice the label says: “The” Imperial India Pale Ale. Tastes like I should be wearing silk pajamas, enjoying this by a fire, while Metallica plays in the background. 🤘

Boozy as expected, overall a luscious and well rounded IPA with a velvety mouthfeel. Alcohol is very prominent.

It's always a few years between times when I get my hands on this. I've had probably dozens of IPAs in between. Nothing against any of those but this is just so damned good.

Bottle from August 2019. Still has a ton of hoppy goodness. Sweet caramel malt and a boozy finish. This bottling is 15.3%.

Comparing years: 09/13/2019 vs. 08/07/2020. 2019 is clearer, but darker; 2019 smell is more concentrated(?); taste... wow.. completely different. 2019 is sweeter, less fruity. I like 2019 better. Can’t wait to see how 2020 ages; ‘til 2031.
