What can I say? It’s bold in flavor, bold in ABV. It’s a Dogfish Head classic.

(2024 Re-Review) Cloudy viscous amber color with a resinous shield. Noses caramel, malt, brown sugar. Pine resin, figs, raisins. Tastes herbal, medicinal, with thick hop bitterness. Warming booze. Smooth malt sugars. Bittersweet booze finish. IPA perfect.

It has been one Hell of a day at work and I haven’t eaten all day. I need a beer in the 18% APV range. The sweet notes of this beer are really noticeable today.

Boozy. At 18% not a surprise, an in your face booze bomb. Sweet, malty a little peaty. Tastes like bourbon or whisky.

I took the age for a decade or so approach. This has been in my fridge since I moved here and in my parents fridge before that. It’s also old enough that the label fell of years ago. Somehow still has slight carbonation taste more like bourbon then Beer.

Aged to perfection in my opinion. Also just looking for anything to make this UVA basketball game watchable…

Strong and sweet with hoppy and malty notes. Super smooth. Better than I was expecting. Actually really good!
