Not for the faint of hops. Hoppy. Boozy. 18%. The continuous hop process gives to many flavor to explore.

I’ve had twice but never checked in. Thanks Homebrewher and dynobyte.. burnt sugar. Bitter. Boozy but hides it’s bigness fairly well.

2016 bottle. An amazing barley wine at this point. Sweet and delicious.

Cheers to finishing six months of chemo! How soon will my hair grow back? 😂

This is a ten year old bottle. It’s lost it’s hoppiness and bitterness but is wonderfully flavorful, rich and thick. You all should hold a few for several years and give them a try.

Another one for the tradition. Definitely getting smoother as it aged. 2017 bottled

Judging as a Barley wine. Aged 8y. Still boozy, tasted like dates and candy. Not overly sweet though. All I needed was a robe, a roaring fire and a snowstorm.

Breaking the dry Jan fast. It wasn’t just dry Jan, but lots of other commitments—making the first sip the best sip of beer I’ve had in a VERY long time.

I remember what my old man used to say. Never give up and run. Don't let the talkin' breeze blow you away. Always remember Stick to your guns . . .

Liked this. Let it get near room temp and sipped it like a bourbon. 👍

Finally got my hands on this. Lovely beer with some surprising nuttiness (at least I found). Phenomenal beer if you love hops.

Chunky, bold Imperial IPA. Vintage dated 8-27-12. No hop bitterness but super smooth. Almost tasted like a cheap wine to me. Slight bitterness on the tail end. Curious, but what do you think the ABV is at 10 + Years.

Have not had one I a while. Forgot how much hoppy goodness there was!

Late update: Cracked this open after holding onto for over a year. Christmas Eve turned into Christmas and the house was quiet. Shortly after Midnight, I thought why not and Happy Birthday to me! Could not have asked for a better beer!

Tastes like bitter toffee and mold

From what I was able to find online, it looks like dogfish switched to Julian day with a single digit year for their date code for some reason. So this is day 095 of 2022 bottled date.
