Dessert time with “Midas Touch” ancient ale from Dogfish Head Brewery, Milton, Delaware. My first sip of an ‘ancient ale’ … need to explore, learn some more. Salud! 🍺

Nice. Almost hard to describe this as a beer. Lots of honey and grape, but barley and saffron are faint.

Sweet but dry. Very strong flavors, not too spicy. It is almost mead-like.

I actually forgot I had tried this beer before, and my critique is still the same. It’s too sweet. More like a sparkling juice than a beer. Still a decent dessert-like beer on occasion, but I wouldn’t be in a rush to get it again.

I am conflicted on this beer. It tastes kind of like a chardonnay mixed with a lager. I feel like it has potential, but it just doesn't do much for me.
