Bottle says "AGES WELL"... Who has the patience with this beer?

Split a 2019 with friends and family.:) Yay vacation!

Aged 1 year, almost to the day. What a legendary bottle. I can feel myself finally growing a beard as I drink it. Hard to rate because it overwhelms my taste buds.

Why not start the vacation week with something a wee bit strong

Boozy is never a bad thing, but I wonder if it's too overpowering here. On the first cold sips I get a woody flavor. Those are the best sips for me. As it warms it's a lot of heat

$3 off at a small liquor store up north. I'll take it.

Bottled on 4/19. Mellowed out a bit, but there’s still a bit of booziness. Dark chocolate, coffee and raisin notes.

Has a bottled on date of either 2015 or 2016 (hard to read). Marvelous aroma. I wouldn’t doubt the ABV has increased. More of a licorice flavor, thick malty bite near the finish. I chilled it a bit too much - want to see what develops as it warms & opens!

Such a full flavor profile. Nice to pair with some dark chocolate for a late Sunday evening dessert.

Found this in the back of the beer fridge. Can’t find a date on it so I’m not sure how old it is. Couldn’t justify holding on to it when I don’t know how many years I’m putting on it. It’s solid but not as thick as the barrel aged variant.
