16.5% and Aged for five years, really smooth. Barleywine-ish and still a bit hoppy. Sweet and malty.

Forgot I had this one. Been in the fridge for almost 5 years

Too hoppy for Christine, but way more subtle than would be expected based on how it's made.

Absolutely... incredibly... smooooooooth. I thought I had the wrong beer at first. Doesn't taste 16% at all

Still think I’m too far down the aging curve. At this point it’s a very low carb barleywine with an intense leathery malt aroma and flavor. It’s v good but I think I’m losing complexity at this point

Malty, rich, boozy, complex and deep flavor, not really hoppy IPA

A little forgotten, but very refreshing and warm in the belly. Celebrating small victories fixing the speakeasy. 1 of 2 chimney caps installed this evening.

Such a weird beer to rate. Real strong and boozy. I know it's an IPA but it looks and drinks sort of like a barleywine. I thought I was not going to like this but Melissa and I were both surprised.

Pulled this in for a side by side with the barrel aged version

The label is smudged but I think it's a 2018. Only 2 years old but tasting good.

Jesus did this ever age with grace; malty and sweet as fuck!!!

The hops have held up really well over the past few years, but I’m definitely getting a ton of boozy maltiness. It almost reminds me of barleywine 🤔

It’s over rated! Too boozy. And this has been aged for 2 years. Meh...

Bottle dated 8/30/18. Just another confirmation that IPAs are better when the hops play second fiddle to the malts. Doesn’t hurt that it’s 17.1 ABV.....

Had to open another one since it’s 120120. Definitely can taste the difference between the 6 year old bottle
