Pulled from my personal cellar collection. Sad to open it, but so worth the pour.

9-14-18 date 5 years aged is a good starting point for me. Not a big fan of this beer right out of the gate. Malty and sweet but not overly cloying. High ABV burn has faded this is enjoyable and 55 degrees out!!!

Last of the four pack. Nose is a combo of figs, toffee, and rocket fuel. Drinks much, much smoother, though. Of note, this bottle is from the 17.1% batch for the vintage, since they seemed to vary.

Oh my really awesome! Yes, a bit boozy and hoppy but smooth and flavorful.

Whoo! Definitely a sipper. Thick, sweet, resinous, complex. Aged 6 years.

Wowza. First thoughts are moderate heat and black licorice. Still has some bitterness and none of the typical “old IPA” off notes. Some Cracker Jack notes in there as well. Heat persists, but is not overwhelming. Still some floral notes left.

Let's see how well this aged... Update...it hasn't seemed to change, though it seems a little hotter than the 2023.

Sharing with brother PD. Amazing. Hoppy, malty, balanced, boozy and delicious. Always enjoy the 120. This is the truth.

From last night. Had both the beers that were important to Megan and my relationship! 2+ years in bottle have done this beer good!

Super malty, a bit heavy on the backend. All around delicious.

Aged 2.5 years. Magnificent. Sooo smooth after aging. Great imperial IPA flavor with subtle short finish. No burn. Never guess this is a 17% beer.

Spectacular. Bottled 04/19/18. Orange / amber / straw hue. Nose of malty Elmer’s glue. Good CO2. Aging is interesting - seems like a barley wine or Belgian strong ale now. Still mucho boozy, but real strong malty side balanced with hops.

A very unique IPA. A favorite. High powered, cellared three years, spruce hops throughout, like I said a very unique IPA.

KILLER. Another of my aged bottles from 04/19/2018. Smells like grapes. Malt bomb - tastes like grape, raisin, and fig. Late night zoot city!
