Punkin Ale (2015)

Pumpkin / Yam Beer

A full-bodied brown ale with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar. We brew our Punkin Ale with pumpkin meat, brown sugar and spices. As the season cools, this is the perfect beer to warm up with. Punkin Ale is named after the seriously off-centered southern Delaware extravaganza Punkin Chunkin (check out some of these Discovery Channel videos of Punkin Chunkin, you gotta see it to believe it!). In fact, Punkin Ale made its debut as it claimed first prize in the 1994 Punkin Chunkin Recipe Contest. Yes, that was a full 6 months before we even opened our doors for business!

Found it in the basement; didn’t know I still had it. Probably shouldn’t age this one. 😄

The last of my Punkin Ale stash. Still well carbonated and tastes pretty good. Tastes a little like a wild yeast ale at this point - slightly sour.

Didnt even know i had this. Five years old and yes, it was a sink pour...BUT flavor wise it held up surprisingly well for an ale! Might of had more if the years weren't so long....no rating because thats not fair.

1st day of Autumn, and Autumn means pumpkin beers🎃🍺!! I’ve tried pumpkin beers from some really outstanding breweries, and I must say that I don't really like any of them. This one’s old, but doesn’t matter. It was in my fridge, just getting rid of it.
