I Remember My First Check-In - Tasting Room

Sour - Fruited

I Remember My First Check-In is a global collaboration to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the social beer drinking app Untappd. Participating breweries were asked to interpret a base recipe, adding their own spin looking to local farmers within 100 miles for ingredients. The Milton Brewery version is brewed with Violeta barley and red wheat malt grown and malted here on Delmarva. We created a crisp, tart session sour fermented with with local blackberries from Kings Berries in Ridgely, MD and steeped it in local lavender from Lavender Fields right here in Milton, DE. Try to get more local than that! We’re so proud to support local farmers and producers and showcase their amazing ingredients in this very special beer.

This makes me happy. Strong berry sour. I wonder what my first sour was?

Tasty and interesting and complex. A fruited sour from DFH but not similar to other DFH fruited sours. Not super-sour. A bit funky. Well, you just have to try it yourself.

A dogfish evolution collaboration that tasted like a clone of ale and a red wine.
