Verdi Verdi Good

Lager - Helles

Dogfish Head Verdi Verdi Good was inspired by beers being produced in Southeast Asia, namely Myanmar (formerly Burma) and Thailand. The main type of beer made in that area of the world is akin to the Dortmunder/Export type lagers of Germany. Both Myanmar and Thailand have breweries producing a beer which is their regular production lager with spirulina added. Hence, Verdi Verdi Good was born. Verdi Verdi Good holds true to the Dortmunder style and gains a delightful green color and a subtle organic aroma from the addition of spirulina. Spirulina is a blue green algae prized for its high nutritional protein content.

Super old RateBeer. 3/17/2006 Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly on St Pat’s day. Perfect beer for the day. Hey folks it’s Green!!!. Nice solid Helles with a slight veggy taste.
