Fresh from the source. boozy as hell, as I remembered. sweet, but not quite too much. boozy heat lingers. it is something unique, for sure.

I know it is at least one year old. The print on the bottle is very faded. The nose is not intense, but the flavor is!

The first smiff is incredibly rich in hop fruit aroma. Sip it and hop flavors fill your mouth. Since this is all late hop addition there is not a huge hit of bitterness. Wonderful!

Bottled 14 months ago 7/10/2020. Darker color than I remember. Big raisen nose, fruit punch flavor with more reisen finish. This has changed a lot from what I remember. Was better when fresher. Boozy

Gifted to me over the weekend. I should know better than to drink fresh but the bottle was refrigerated and I had no intention sitting on it.

Thanks Scotty! Ugh. This legendary beer stands up to it's measure. Big, silky resin, full bodied and bitter. Incredibly smooth. Biggest body in any beer I've ever had. It's just so good. It's a good answer to a rough day.

This is the youngest bottle I've ever had of this beer (aged 1 year vs 4), and it's wild how different it is! Much lighter color, and not nearly as smooth, but that incredible aroma is still there. Excited to enjoy the journey of the other 3 bottles!

As always, ages nicely. Has gotten pretty opaque, and mellows out after a year.

been sitting in the fridge for a while now.... got that smooth, almost non sweet syurpiness to it. doesn't taste 15+% a.b.v. but was it worth $10 for a 12oz. bottle? still glad i got it.
