Star Party

IPA - American

Star Party was brewed using a gene-edited American ale yeast strain of the same name. Using CRISPR, the normally neutral strain was provided the gene sequence from another brewing yeast giving it the ability to liberate bound aromatic thiol compounds. It’s bursting with guava notes with hints of juicy passionfruit and fresh coconut not normally seen in beers hopped with the old school hop varieties we used, Cascade and Centennial.

Not a fan of American IPAs. Not a fault of the beer just doesn’t match my flavor profile desires!

Coconut, passion fruit, guava aroma and flavors. Very refreshing yet depth of flavor is decadent. Grassy hop bitterness lingers, making the finish dry
