Tis the season to be merry and “Fröhlich” in the beer gardens of Oktoberfest celebrations. Our version of this Oktoberfest style beer has an eye on the past as we did indeed brew it in the spring and then lay it down in barrels over the summer. Dogfish Head Distilling Co. supplied the whiskey barrels for that purpose and helped inspire the name after “Fröhlich” – (happy) and “Fass” – (barrel).
