Managed to find a bottle with a fill date of 7/17. It has really held up quite well. Still syrupy sweet with huge vanilla notes. Chocolate and bourbon on the nose. Woody. Quite smooth for 16%.

Aged since 2017. Some vanilla remains. Mostly just a good stout base. No bourbon. A bit of sediment.

Solid vanilla flavor but not overpowering good barrel flavor not overly boozy tasting. Thanks Stout B. Split with Natty I.

16% is a nice middle of the road ABV if you’re Kevin Boyd. For us humans it’s a sipping stout. Boozy, dark, wonderful, and the best dark beer i’ve had in a while.

Dark fruits - plum, raisins, and a hint of vanilla in a boozy finish. Very tasty! Perfect beer to celebrate a victory by the Twins over the Astros in the ALDS!
