Work called and cancelled tonight's overtime. So, I did a shot of whiskey with my morning coffee, opened a beer and split some wood barefoot. Today matches my all time campfire record of 38 days. There shall be flame and liquor as I beat that record later

My dogs and I are living in a private campground on a beautiful private lake. Currently cooking cheddar brats, venison cheese burgers and chicken thigh foil packets over oak, hickory and wild apple coals. Drinking BBA beer and smoking homegrown. LIVIN'!!!

My grandma's name was Hazel. She would have disapproved of my current blood alcohol level. Grandpa would have thrown another piece of wood on the fire and asked how much whiskey I had left. I miss them both.

It's good but it's the same ole story when it comes to maple in my beer or whiskey. I'm just not a huge fan. I prefer dark chocolate or coffee. Does that make me bitter?🤔
