Not quite as good as last year. It is a bit spice heavy and the thinner body can't balance it out. You end up with a strong clove/nutmeg note that burns through the malt.

The base beer is devoured by the barrel notes and overwhelms the palate. It is strong without burning and rich under the oxidized notes.

Fantastic. Everything I like about the Dirty Bastard but with the sweet and vinous flavors that barrel aging adds. Not boozy but strong, zero fusel notes, no staling or bad sherry notes. Malty, rich, smooth, and well balanced. Finishes well, great beer.
