Duivelsbier L.

Candlewax + flowers nose; root beer, dates, clove; smooth. Sugary! Sweet take on the style. Baked apple esters underneath. Candied + simple; aimed at the pub drinker.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon (2018) L.

Berries + bubblegum nose; tin, lemon peel, hay, cherry, Balsamic, chalk; spritzy. Cherry pie! Fruit, woody vanilla + clove spice. Low funk; 6 years is not enough(!) for Brett. But warm, mellow, easy sipper.

Turbo Tony L.

Pineapple nose; lime Frozfrut, slight yoghurt tang, Orangeade; clean. Bright, light + easy. Only faintest sour. Doesn't get the Florida colour, but great quencher.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2017) L.

Funk, orange peel + tulips on the nose; hint of biscuit, cider vinegar, pear, slight barn, chardonnay; spritzy. What to say about a classic? Bigger on citrus + orchard, lower on funk than other gueuzes, but all balance, nuance + elegance. Happy 2024.

Farmer Haze L.

Apricot nose; orange, nectarine, lt pine; smooth. Underhopped, even for ABV. Might not be the freshest, based on colour. Wanting, even for an airport beer.

Fanø Vesterland 23 L.

Pineapple nose; passionfruit, unripe tangerine, slight dank; dry. Low bitterness + juicy, but too tart + thin for NEIPA. Not so easy. Questions about Gamma...

Wood Butcher L.

Tart, peanut nose; brownie crust, hazelnut skin, toast; dry. Good brown malts; gets chocolaty as it goes. But finishes quite tart + dry. Not as easy as I'd like.

Neu Pilsner L.

Tin + leaf nose; bread, straw, spice; dry. A bit too soft + low IBU for pils. But lovely biscuit malts + pepper hops. Easy + clean; v drinkable.

Vesterbro Brown Ale L.

Granola nose; brown bread, cherry skin, hazelnut; smooth. Both bitter + tart; not the easiest brown. Hits of caramel but chalky, too, and no hops. Brown, yeah, but funny choice for flagship.

Red Panda L.

Cocoa nose; chocolate, black cherry, pomegranate, autumn leaf; bitter. Delightfully off style: too chocolaty + bitter to be Irish Red. Recalls Clotworthy Dobbin. Chaotic bit of fun.

Zig Zag L.

Ganga + overripe pineapple nose; grapefruit granata, peach, white melon, dank; smooth. Good contrast of citrus v dank. IBUs tame it. Proper sessioner.

Blueprints of the Sun - Blend #1 L.

Apricot + funk nose; wheat cracker, white peach, herb, honey; dry. Bellini! Expressive yeast mix + blending gives real depth. Spritzy, fun, + mature.

Mikkeller XMAS Vienna Lager Classic L.

Toast + soap nose; fresh bread crust, slight nuttiness, bit of spice; clean. Malts on point; rich but never sweet. IBUs boost dry finish. I could drink a bunch of this. Hop flavour maybe too high to make it Christmassy, but mostly good example of style.

Raspmattazz L.

Berry + funk nose; raspberry, yoghurt, vague herb; smooth. Summer berry jam, but not much else. Restrained tartness. Not catching adjuncts. Sessionable but To Ol do better.

Slightly Mighty L.

Grass nose; cracker, lemon, hay; crisp. Minimal hops. Almost like a saison w/o esters + phenols. Kinda lame but easy.

Weird Weather Non-Alcoholic Hazy IPA L.

Dank lemon nose; lemonade, herb, slight resin; silky. Wins on body but fails on hops. Too sugary, too; almost tastes back sweetened. Doesn't hold a candle to No Worries.

Whirl Champions L.

Ganga + stewed apricot nose; OJ, overripe peaches, sage, pine; smooth. Hop burn! Twiggy nose, vegetal taste + harshness all point to too much hops. 7 wks old, too, so no excuse. And the colour says O2. Shame; there's juice buried in there somewhere...

Undulate v9 L.

Cherry chocolate cake nose; fig, cocoa, almonds; clean. Gets the light body of a Baltic. Chocolatey richness if you linger on it. Better than Pohjala.

Ich Bin Raspberry L.

Muddy nose; beets, earth, red wine vinegar, juicy raspberry comeback; clean. Neither v raspberry nor Berliner. Muddled, no clean flavours. Mediocre.

Burst L.

Guava nose; bread crust, orange peel, burnt grass; bitter + clean. Thin + over DHd. Candied fruit sits oddly next to pith. Only ok, even as a session.

Bob L.

Honey + floral nose; lager malt, slight toffee + toast, spice; medium. Nice sweetness, good bitterness. Never cloys. Glad this brewery is getting straight

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) L.

Chocolate nose; raisins, bourbon, brown sugar, carob; smooth. Silky, and soo easy for the ABV. Not the complexity of aged vintages, but this beer is never harsh. Happy 2021.

Drink'in The Sun (0.3%) L.

Lemon + yeast nose; cracker, citrus oil, grass; bitter. Nice lemony zip. Body is fluffy + clean. No legend, but I think low scores here just don't know what Amer Wheat should be.
