Aroma of hazelnut coffee, with a roasty bitterness on the finish. Decent flavor, but seems to be lacking any barrel character.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) P.

Despite all bad press for Founders and the decline of their relevance in Craft, this brew was first to kindle my love for big BA stouts and is still a favorite! First check in from “Untappd At Home” as a full time Mainah!!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) P.

Medium mouthfeel. Nice balance of chocolate, maple sweetness and some BBA heat coupled with a tad of bitterness on the finish.

Panther Cub (2021) P.

The Robust Porter base is just that, robust with a bit of lingering bitterness. The adjuncts, maple and vanilla, seem a bit forced and end with a tinny finish. Their “barrel” series has definitely produced better.

KBS Espresso (2020) P.

Finding this toward the thin side. I must say that the espresso flavor is nice, just lacks mouthfeel.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) P.

Aroma is all melted chocolate. I get maple sweetness and a bit of the barrel, but to me, the rich fudge flavor stands out the most. Another great take on one of my personal favorites!
