Ginger Smiles C

The best beer I have tried since Curmudgeon. So sweet up front like toffee mixed with guava. The ginger kicks in shortly after with mild heat and some boozyness. The finish reveals the barrel aging and finally lingering rum notes.

Breakfast Stout C

In November 2016 I said it would be worth the drive to Grand Rapids Michigan to get more. This year we did it! The brewery only options impressed me even more.

Barrel Aged Quad Pro Quo C

Very complicated, like dating in highschool. The malt is right there but I think the barrel overwhelms. The hops becomes a chord with the malt notes.a bit to the boozy side.

Quite nice considering the high ABV. Not noticably boozy. Malt forward as I prefer and the barrel is noted but not overdone either
