I had to look up the hops to confirm what I was tasting… That chinook always makes its presence known. A little floral and a touch of spice. The previous beer is probably keeping me from getting much of the fruitiness.

A Mexican restaurant with fresh 90 Minute IPA? Hell yeah! Goes well with the bone marrow tacos.

I came into this with low expectations…. I hate juniper. I hate gin. Maybe juniper needles only impart some piney notes. Regardless, it looks like a weak NEIPA, tastes like a soft herbal WCIPA… but it hits the spot.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)
Let’s ring in the new year with a good one! My daughter’s BF had a French Toast Bastard and seemed interested in this (I think he was humoring me), so I chilled it last night. Instead of returning it to the cellar, I’ll drink it. Whips yesterday’s Woot.

The cop knocked on my window and said, "Boy, where's the fire? You got a mailbox on your bumper and a bald front tire." I’ve got a Highball Drifter. Most of the flavors are muted. I really don’t get the orange or cherry, mostly oak and a touch of bourbon.

Four Giants And the Haze of Destiny
More of a hybrid IPA, than the full on hazy. Fruity with a touch of bitterness. Better than so many of those $20 four packs. Bonus points for value.

Big and smooth. Roasty for a barley wine. Really blurred lines here. It’s called an American BW, but there’s not much bitterness. Hell.. this tastes closer to a stout.

Lactose in a brown ale? That’s a new one. Just enough to give the “velvet” mouthfeel. Coffee is the dominant flavor.

Crazy viscous. A bit of tart. Loads of fruit… yet it doesn’t capture me.

The color belies it’s malty flavor. Creamy mouthfeel with coffee and vanilla.
