Always happy to reconvene with this old friend. Always roasty and smooth and sweet, with the one of the most authentic coffee flavors of any beer I've had.

4 Giants Tropical Treasure Barkley
A strange, yet surprisingly satisfying imperial IPA, which is just what one could expect from Founders. Mixing four hop profiles with plenty of "haze" creates a flurry of flavor, with orange jumping out. Almost like a beer mimosa. Super easy drinking.

Almost two years gone by, and likely a bit hot out for the choice, and this one still hits the right notes for me. Rich and smooth brown ale accented by notes of vanilla and chocolate and bourbon. Just a touch too sweet to be perfect, but still so nice.

A really intriguing nitro choice that provides the unique experience one can expect from Founder's. The non carbonated base allows the raspberry to just crash on thru, and this becomes and even richer and sweet-tart beer with the nitro.

I've spoken quite enough times about how much I love what Founder's does, especially with dark beers. But still, this little black beauty is always worth a mention- chock full of bittersweet cocoa, rich coffee, and just the right touch of sweet. Smooth.

I love Founders, French toast and Scotch ales- so how could I not love this? Super rich and boozy, sweet but not cloying, full of flavors of buttery maple, burnt caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. It's only not a 5 because the bourbon notes complicate a bit.

Unsurprisingly, when Founders tries a unique spin on a classic style- it works. A dangerously smooth tripel, with classic notes of clove and light banana, are accentuated by the delicately sweet hit of agave syrup. Light yet full flavored, enjoyable.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Barkley
House of 1000 Beers Multipack 4/6: This was the jewel in the Multipack collection- and it didn't disappoint. KBS is already a top tier beer, and this simply amplifies that with decadently rich notes of cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa. Sweet and luscious.

Seem to always come back to this one in the summertime. And that's definitely when it's enjoyed best in my humble opinion. Plenty hoppy, but with pleasant malty counterbalance and plenty of nuanced flavor- basically the standard for all of Founder's beer.

It's been awhile since I got to enjoy this special beer. Thanks to a friend's birthday gift, I was able to experience all its complexities. Boozy but smooth, rich yet drinkable, packed with coffee and cocoa and bourbon. Best drank cold for me. Great.

Ooh, this one hits all the right notes for me. A symphony of boozy coffee notes, accented by flourishes of chocolate and vanilla bean and bourbon, all settling on a bed of nutty brown ale. Heavy and sweet, this one isn't for everyone- but it's good for me

Still a bit early for these brews, but when I saw a pumpkin brown ale- I couldn't resist. This is my kind of pumpkin ale- where it is decidedly a "beer" that is accented with pumpkin and sweet spice. The nutty brown ale base plays as a nice counter.ππ

Should I be surprised that one of my top breweries could deliver an IPA I love? This one hits initially with plenty of dry citrus tinged hops, but then it layers out, finishing with balancing, rich malt backing, and just the right amount of sweetness.

I've had this just a wee bit ago...but one dirty deserves another dirty, right? Always impressed with how smooth this carmelly, smoky beast goes down. Also amazed how it often sells for so cheap with its boozy power, but I'll take it. I β₯οΈ Founders.

Man, it's been too long since I've enjoyed this old favorite. Once again, Founders proves it is a king of dark beers, with this intense and enjoyable oatmeal stout as proof. Layered coffee tones with rich dark chocolate- a smooth indulgence in every sip.

Was going to save this for my "weekend", but figured I had to try a bottle since it is National Beer Day. This is a complex brew- like all the grains of harvest dried and then set on fire to the point of carmel sweet reduction. Booze heavy, but entrancing

Another one I've had, but never checked in. But it's been awhile and boy...is it nice to make a reacquaintance. Founders always comes thru, and this is top notch. Varied malt complexity and richness, hits of toffee and caramel and smoke- just fantastic.

A lot going on, but all those notes are bit reserved. You taste the marshmallow, a touch of chocolate and vanilla, and a good bit of smoke (threw me off on first sip). But everything is a bit muted, might be better in a heavier stout. Still a good beer.

Impossible to get a bad beer from Founders. A touch different than its contemporaries, with a more notable hop bite and crispness as opposed to heavy malt. Very refreshing, but the lack of traditional sweetness is something I miss.π©πͺπ©πͺπ©πͺπ©πͺ
