The Cranfather Johnson

Ok this was $7.50 for a 4 pack at Total Wine and I thought it was either a misprint or gunna be terrible. It’s neither! A barrel aged 11% beer for under $2/bottle is unheard of and please don’t go buy them all before I do.

Crimson Cru Johnson

A red ale with a twinge of cru. Fabulous!

French Toast Bastard 2023 Johnson

Not a whole lot of vanilla or cinnamon. A little boozy and definite maple prominence

The Headless Gourdsman Johnson

I was hoping for a little more from this. People mention “great pumpkin taste” and “balanced” but I disagree. I’m getting too much barrel, accentuated by tons of maple and a little clove. As a pumpkin beer lover, the pumpkin gets drowned out for me.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) Johnson

On tap at the only draft house in Niagara Falls (maybe). Tasty!

Panther Cub Johnson

This is so hard to describe. I feel like it has lost its identity. It’s not quite sure which direction it wants to go in. It might be trying too hard for a porter.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Johnson

Lots of fudge up front (not complaining) then balanced a bit with some maple and barrel. One of my new favorites.

Backwoods Bastard Johnson

More barrel than I remember but that’s not a bad thing. At 11% this is trouble.

Punkin Ale Johnson

Whole hog is better, but dogfish is still relevant

Imperial Stout Johnson

Thick and heavy yet smooth and very drinkable. Founders does it yet again.

Marvelroast Johnson

The vanilla latte of beers. Sweet, like a pastry stout but not as heavy.
