Definitely drinks like every bit of that 11% ABV. Thicc caramelly malts and barrel-aging definitely make themselves known. Has the body of its content, but not the burn.

I nearly drank it all before remembering to check this in, so it's doing something right. Not a particularly stand-out hazy, but certainly sessionable and easy to kick back without a second thought.

Happy 14th, Lake Flying Saucer! 14 rare beers on tap and I get to try 8 of them. This one smells like French toast, and sips like sweet, smooth maple syrup. Booze doesn't get you until you're already warmed up.

Big spash of grapefruit, with a grab bag of other citrusy flavors packed in there, too. Definitely true to the name.

A big wheat wine that conceals the big ABV pretty well. Drinks easy, but definitely packs a bourbon wallop. Softened by a hint of maple sweetness. Will definitely warm you up on the way down.

Had to get some manner of brew in for National Beer Day, but it's the day after chemo round 3, so NA it must be. Fortunately this is a nice peppy glass of berry and lemon juices.

Very smooth and sweet. Choco, coffee and vanilla, with a smooth hint of bourbon.

It's the most wonderful time of the year: Märzen season. I am content.

90 Minute Imperial IPA LaPointe
How did I have a 120 Minute before I had the 90? This is nice. A big imperial that mixes elements of old-school and new for an enjoyable experience.

Más Agave Prickly Pear LaPointe
Heavy prickly pear flavor, with agave included. Much more sweet than it is sour, and does not drink like a 9.7% big boi, at all. Good stuff.

Clean, malty goodness with a little splash of citrus in there. Sometimes simple is best.

Hoppy, but not bitter. Tropical sweet up front, and sugar sweet on the back end. Not as thick as other milk sugar beers I've seen. Crushable.

Clean no-coast IPA with lots of melon flavor masking where the bitter would be. Still features a good kick of hops in there. Tasty and simple.

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake LaPointe
The first half tastes decent, like a creme brulee. The second half is funky, boozy, oversweet murder.
