I'm torn on this. The barrel is nice, but all of the subtle complexity of a Marzen are gone. I like them experimenting like this, but this one fails to have an identity and falls a little short.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) C.
Seems to have mellowed. I remember more recent years being maybe a bit too sweet? Coffee seems subdued. Chocolate is more present, and maple syrup is subtle. Still damn good

Excellent brown. Of course the barrel helps to bring it up several notches.
