Muted spice profile means the pumpkin shines more. Subtle with notes of sweet pumpkin and barely detectable nutmeg and cinnamon. Malty and balanced with solid structure but a short finish. Firm white head and a medium body.

A great beer that lacks coherent structure. The base beer is great with lots of dark coffee and smoky character. The barrel character is all over the place. You get some cherry, vanilla, and oak, but nothing unique to the unique spirits in the beer.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Curmudgeon S.
Honey nut cheerios. Honey, malt, and wood spice perfectly balanced. The wood character is subtle and accentuates the base beer. Lighter than expected. Complex with some sweet sherry oxidative flavors.
