4 Giants Starcatcher Haze Stadler
Fluffy, lightly bitter citrus, mostly orange. Mandarin orange peel. Lacks the bold flavor of the other 4 Giants offerings. Not tasting the Greta Van Fleet in this. Getting more of a White Lion or Whitesnake flavor. Wait. Here I go again on my own.

Big! Cherries wrapped in a warm blanket of velvety bourbon vanilla. Then packed in a meerschaum with some tobacco and enjoyed. Maybe that’s over the top. Anywho, great collision of compatible flavors coming together to power a unique brew. Thanks Chris.

It’s a biggun. Big French toast (aroma is exact), maple, cinnamon, vanilla, strong bourbon especially as it warms, boozy. Def a special occasion brew…one is plenty. Like a Neil Diamond concert, unless you’re my parents. Thanks Scott!

4 Giants Tropical Treasure Stadler
Huge canned pineapple, mandarin orange and a touch of mint as it warms. Very sweet, near cloying but still enjoyable. Reminiscent of Buddy Holly’s Everyday or more closely LFO’s Summer Girls. Lyte Funkie Ones are an American treasure.

Delicious sweet mango and apricot. Like a purée, minus the texture. Smoky habenero hits halfway through, then lingering heat on the back of the throat. So supremely subtle and perfectly balanced that i am now a believer in pepper beers. At least this one

Orange juice, vanilla wafers and orange pixie sticks. Almost has a push pop vibe to it. Thanks Chris

Caramelized brown sugar, fruitcake, smoldering orange peel, pipe tobacco, honey bun, Dr. Pepper and rye whiskey, tea reduced to syrup, light baseball card pack bubblegum, allspice, slight alcohol burn. Best Belgian I can remember. This is a banger.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Stadler
Fudgie McFudgeface. Need to turn the maple up to 11 so it comes through the phenomenal full on fudge force field. Alliteration.

2 years+ old. Clearly waited too long on this. I’ve done a disservice to beerdom by letting this get past prime. Mea culpa.

Piney, earthy, malty. Pretty big flavor for a session. Maybe the Hal Blaine of session beers.

Not a big marzen fan, but this one has my attention. Light caramel, oak, pumpernickel toast, lingering sweetness. This is a good reason to be one and done on Oktoberfest beers this year. Pumpkin beers will continue to be none and done.

Maple and bourbon, with a persistent wave of vanilla. Sweet and boozy, and beautifully black. This could pass for an imperial stout. Much better than I could pass for Jim Gaffigan.

Great concept of merging their top 4 IPAs. The hops and malt take turns duking it out like a Tyson / Holyfield match. Or maybe even Balboa / Creed. Not the best IPA out there, but one of the boldest.

On the rich end of a porter and that’s a good thing. Roasty coffee and chocolate.
