On the 21st day of Christmas my advent calendar gave to me; Kriek Boon. A cherry lambic, sweet & sour bite from the black cherries, certainly no sign of anything artificial or synthetic in here. A great beer 🍻

Sun's out, that must mean time for a lager? This one's a chestnut coloured Vienna lager with a sweet honey, malty flavour before a bitter finish.

A Vienna lager, dark, sweet & malty. Quite surprised by the colour as it poured, aroma of sugar puffs with a sweet, caramel, honey, malty flavour with a welcome bitter finish.

Mikkeller XMAS Vienna Lager Classic Ward
Pours a clear chestnut amber colour with a good off-white head. Aroma of caramel with subtle nutty notes & biscuity maltiness. Caramel & nuts are repeated in the flavour with hoppy, soft bitter finish.

Nice Christmas beer with quite a Belgiany flavour to it. Rich maltiness with bitter hoppiness. Really enjoyed this one. Very dark in appearance for a pale ale.

A soft haze in appearance with citrus, lemony notes beside herbal tea. Slightly thin mouthfeel but I liked the change from my recent glut of 'thick' NEIPA's. Gentle bitter finish, I would certainly have it again.

Murky haze to the eye with the aroma of ripe stonefruit. Hoppy flavour with citrus grapefruit & lime notes ahead of soft earthiness. Smooth bitterness on the finish.

Quite a deep haze in appearance with the fresh aroma of citrus lemon beside tropical pineapple & melon. Flavour is much the same being citrus & with stonefruit standing out. Very drinkable, I only wish I had another can.
