Brokilde Brown Melberg

Brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and brown bread with syrup, hints of chocolate and dark dried fruits. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, also hints of roasted nuts. Low bitterness. Score: 3.3

Brokilde Blonde Melberg

Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of Belgian ale yeast, white kandij sugar syrup, honey and stewed fruits. The flavour is moderately citric and floral, distinctly yeasty, with hints of honey. Score: 3.2

330 ml can, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 4.6%. Moderately hazy golden colour, large to moderate white head. Distinct and pleasant aroma of orange peel and coriander. Light bodied. Citric and wheaty flavour, orange peel and coriander again, refreshing.

Blow Out Melberg

Slightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of citrus, yellow stonefruits, tropical fruits, pine and spruce. Light bodied for its strength. The flavour is not too sweet, but has the same elements as the aroma, citrus and spruceti

Weird Weather Non-Alcoholic Hazy IPA Melberg

Very pale straw colour, only the slightest haziness. Moderate white head. Aroma of citric and spicy hops, a hint of catpiss. Citric and thin mouthfeel. The flavour is fairly dry, and has notes of lemon zest, lime and spicy hops. Not too bad for a n/a beer

Opaque yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of yellow stonefruits, citrus and tropical fruits. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour also of said fruits, pine needles too. Score: 3.7

Burst Melberg

Nearly clear pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, ripe yellow stonefruits, pineapple and mango. Citric flavour, also hints of other said fruits but not sweet, also sprucetips. Decent bitterness. Good beer, refreshing.

Limbo - Riesling Melberg

Slightly hazy pale golden, moderate to small white head. Aroma of sweat, manure, diesel and grapejuice. Very sweet flavour with loads of grapejuice and some citrus. Needs to be drunk ice cold.

Moderately hazy pale golden colour, large white head. Aroma of ripe yellow stonefruits, hints of citrus. Light bodied. Citric flavour, not too sweet, hints of yellow plums. Low bitterness. Score: 3.6

Blanche De Mikkeller Melberg

Moderately hazy golden colour, large to moderate white head. Disappointing aroma of dust and stale jam. The flavour is better, citric with some acidity, orange peel and coriander seeds, noticeable hops. Score: 2.9

Berry Barrage Sour Ale With Red Berries Melberg

Red colour, moderate pink head. Aroma of crushed cherries, redcurrants and lingonberries, some lactic acid. Sour flavour with lactic acid and distinct notes of said berries.Score: 3.6

Eat Your Greens Melberg

Hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity, resinous and spicy hops, notes of citrus and apricots. Moderately sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, and a fairly distinct and piney hop bitterness in the finish.

Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and yellow stonefruits, hints of sprucetips. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, moderate to low bitterness. Good beer.

Very cloudy / opaque orange colour, large to moderate off-white head with an orangey hue. Intense aroma of tangerine, and nothing else. Sweet flavour of tangerine juice, and tangerine zest. Nothing here to remind you that this is a beer.

Cloudy reddish brown colour, moderate pink head. Strong aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries, some lactic acid. Sour and tart flavour with loads of lactic acid, also distinct notes of raspberries. Score: 3.1

Hazy golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of citrus and various tropical fruits (papaya, mango, pineapple, lychee). Medium sweet and juicy flavour with the same elements as the aroma. Good beer. Score: 3.9

330 ml bottle, from Hos Walter, Ebeltoft. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma with grassy notes, a hint of honey. Fairly crisp flavour with herbal hops, some residual sweetness. Score: 3.1

Wit Melberg

Sightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grain and dust, only a hint of orange peel and coriander. Citric and wheaty flavour, fairly refreshing, notes of coriander seeds and cloves, a hint of orange peel. Score: 3.2

North German Pils Melberg

Nice aroma of grassy, floral and herbal German hops, on a background of sweetish pilsener malts. Crisp and refreshing pilsener flavour, some residual sweetness, the hops become sharp and medicinal in the aftertaste. Score: 3.2

Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, white kandij sugar syrup, stewed fruits and mild spices. Sweet and spicy flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also dead yeast cells and an unexpectedly bitter finish.

Aroma of citrus, ripe yellow stonefruits, also pineapple and other tropical fruits, notes of spruce too. The flavour has some sweetness (lactose? - not on the ingredients list), otherwise the same elements as in the aroma. Low bitterness. Score: 3.8

Curmudgeon Old Ale Melberg

Sweetish malty aroma, notes of caramel and oak, hints of dark dried fruits and alcohol. Not as sweet flavour as I feared, malty and oaky, caramel and dried figs, well balanced with the hops, a nice bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Would buy again.

Moderately hazy golden colour, large white head. Lovely aroma of citrus and tropical fruits. Citrus, tropical fruits and pine / resin in the flavour. Not too sweet, medium bitter.

Aroma of over-ripe pineapple and yellow stonefruits. The flavour is fruity and medium sweet, notes of over-ripe pineapple again, hints of citrus and yellow stonefruits, also hints of sprucetips. Score: 3.6

Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops, notes of pineapple, mango and other tropical fruits. Citric flavour, also hints of tropical fruits, resinous notes with a sharp bitterness in the finish.

Gypsy Tears Blackberry Delight Melberg

Sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Black colour. Lovely aroma and flavour of blackberries and brettanomyces. I adore blackberries. This was my last sample of the day, but I was still sober enough to recognize this as an excellent beer.
