Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4% Sanders
Verrry smooth. Bit cloying right at the end.

Attracting all the fruit flies from miles around, such is the pungency of the (unfruited) beer. I'm often sniffy about Cantillon, but this is class. Deeply okay, lemon yoghurt in a farmyard. Well lush.

Five. Why the hell not? Huge oak, more tannic than I remember? Best smelling beer of all time. Statement.

Soy. Coffee. Catweasel. Bit all over the place. Lots of catweasel.

Wow. That's beautiful. Metallic mandarin offset by a creamyness, touch of vanilla pannacotta. Mint. Lemon. Gorgeous, so well made.

Light, crisp. Mebs expected a little more given the provenance.

Fantastic. Beautifully made, doesn't shout, really smooth and balanced. Like a Danish Kernel. Top grade beer.

Draft. To think I once found lambic undrinkable. If anything, the criticism here is it's unremarkabiliy. Perfectly good, really nice raisin stickiness. One of my favourites of theirs. But only a 4.0.

Thirteen point eight percent. Six pound eighty a THIRD. Fucktonne of bourbon, booze is there for sure but vanilla addition plus the obvious barreling makes it way too smooth, at least when cold. Creamy tiramisu.

Spontantripleraspberry (2019) Sanders
Wibble jibber raspberries. And oak. And layers of wowness. Here's the rub with Mikkeller: I don't know anyone who makes sours like this anywhere, not even close. I hope they sort themselves out and it starts with taking their staff seriously.

Back on it. Wasn't actually meant to have it earlier ahead of embargo! Fuck it, it's a 5.

LCBF21. Let's kick things off with, oh I dunno... this? Exquisite. Huge fruit hit. Barrel ageing coming through nicely. Utter banger.

Big chunk of passion fruit upfront as you'd hope, briney in the middle (tick) but can't hide the booze at the finish. Dank cardboard at the end. Not as balanced as the lite version.

Cor, that's banging. Big sour slabs of passion fruit. Quite mineraly, mega juicy and super crushable. Again!

Spontandoubleblueberry Sanders
Celebratory beer (NOR 7-0 HUD), keeping it classy. Lveoly light oakiness in the background behind plenty of fruit as you'd expect. Splendid.

Oldish bottle, not really acidy at all, so much berry depth. The Penta version of this is The Best Beer of All Time and am pleased to report this tastes like a dialled back variant. 💜
