The blueberry presence here is pretty high, as expected I suppose. But to me it works well. Seems like legit blueberry purée, first off, with the sourness and flavor melding well with the bourbon and wood and chocolate. Glad I tried one.

A little bit of haze happening. A little juicy and a little bitter. Overall decent balance and flavor. Pretty drinkable, especially if it’s this or a macro Lager and you’re by the pool n’at.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Montes
Having recently had Utopias 2021, I can confidently say that this is about 90% Utopias and 10% WWS. Maybe the Utopias flavors are just overwhelming anything else. That said: it’s still very good, and has all the complex flavors of Utopias in the end.

I mean it’s pretty good, and though I know it’s going to be pretty sweet, it’s still maybe a little too sweet. But I’m also at the beach so bring it on.

Hoppier than expected but super fresh and dank. Definitely West Coast style.

First vaca beer. Put as much oats in it as you want, but if the hops aren’t right, it really doesn’t matter. Mouthfeel isn’t all that soft or silky either honestly. Non-discernible hops with some citrus and mild bitterness. Decent beach beer I guess.

Not too bad. Definitely solid for a campfire. Smoke and cocoa for sure. Minor graham cracker. Less of the others. Not too sweet, which I’m always worried about with these adjuncts, and that’s nice. Flavors don’t meld well as much as they should though.
