French Toast Bastard Roush

Strong aromas of maple, cinnamon and bourbon. Taste is quite sweet, almost cloying. Very much French toast as advertised but the maple is overwhelming and there’s not enough hops or tartness to balance the sweetness. Disappointing.

Chocolate Cherry KBS Roush

Aromas of chocolate, bourbon, cherry, coffee, caramel. Taste is fairly sweet, fairly bitter, very full bodied and almost a bit syrupy. A complex sipper, good though a a bit too sweet and syrupy.

4 Giants IPA (2022) Roush

Strong citrus (mostly grapefruit) aroma, with some citrus zest bitterness. Taste is fairly dry with a bitter finish. Not bad, though fairly simple.

Change of Art Imperial Hazy IPA Roush

Tropical fruit aromas. Fruity, slightly sweet taste. Pleasant and easy drinking though somewhat on the simple side.

KBS Hazelnut (2022) Roush

Aromas of bourbon, coffee, chocolate and hazelnut. Taste is a bit sweet, especially on the finish; also slightly salty. Alcohol level readily apparent. Pretty complex, very good.

Blushing Monk Roush

Strong aroma of raspberries. Sweet but not cloying; strong raspberry taste. Wildish, rustic finish that is attractive and goes well with the fruit flavor. Don't usually care for sweet beers but this makes an interesting dessert beer.

Panther Cub Roush

Strong aroma of bourbon; maple is fairly strong; coffee and chocolate; light vanilla. Taste has those flavors and a little salt(?); fairly dry; fairly bitter. Complex and it all fits together well. A very good beer.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Roush

Aroma is like a cold brew mocha, chocolate and coffee, with maple. Taste is similar with the coffee more pronounced and simultaneously fairly sweet and fairly bitter. The bourbon is less dominate than most BBA stouts. Interesting.
