Cuvée Oude Henri

Wow, the cork nearly took my eye out! Geuze with a champagne influence. Works pretty well. Spicy, white wine, yeasty, Brett. Nothing overpowers though.

Crimmus

Gearing up for the Wallabies test against the dastardly Saffas. In truth I don’t think the beer inside the Oval will be any worse than this offering, which I am sure is better at source. My old pub landlord would have said “do you want a flake with that?”

Kiwi juice bomb (Double Vision) with breakfast chaser. For the less enlightened, the stout is the one at the rear.

Goliat

Great to have this again, and on tap! $16 a butcher a reminder of how expensive booze is in Australia. But just about worth every cent.

Haven’t had this in, I don’t know how long. Nice one Lucky F. for getting this back in town.

Earthscraper

I’ve always had a soft spot for the Argies. As a kid in the 80s I thought “how would we feel if Argentina held sovereignty over the Isle of Man”. Mario Kempes was a boyhood hero. So I find myself conflicted watching the rugby tonight although ultimately..

Astral Sabbatical

My dog Covid was licking his balls today and my mate Adam C. said “Gee I wish I could do that”...to which I replied, “you best get to know him first, he’s a bit grouchy around strangers” 🍻
