This earned a 3.5 in my more critical days. Keeping it steady. Upfront chocolate presence is just a little too thick. Still good, but not as much as I normally get from Founders.

Breakfast Stout Schultz

Ending the evening with a dessert beer. Coffee forward, slightly temepered by the oats. A good way to end an excellent opening night.

Snowbound Vanilla Porter Schultz

Hm. Not bad, but not up to my usual Founders standard. (Which has an admittedly pretty high bar for me.) Lots of chocolate notes, but they don't hit the right chord. Good balance of vanilla though.

Backwoods Bastard Schultz

Woohee. Coulda sworn I'd had this one before, but pretty sure I'd remember. Silky sweetness, with a cola-esque bubbly introduction, followed by a darker, licorice-like second act. A heavyweight, without the typical cloying booziness. Solid.

Nitro Breakfast Stout Schultz

Coffee? Yes indeed. Aptly named a breakfast stout. Oaty goodness.
