World Wide Stout (2023) Jarvis
Something Pete brought back from his travels, a lethal Dogfish Head BA stout, stronger than wine, a great partner to my Beef & Onion pie (and beans). Cheers Peter, that’s a 4.5, a real banger!

A gift from Adam who was in Brussels, devishly hard to get, he even brought back the glassware. Sour, tart and fruity, with that underlying dryness. Cheers Adam.

Big raspberry hit with a tartness to it but well balanced. After a busy afternoon, time to chill with an undemanding beer.

Game of Thrones - Direwolf Brigade Pale Ale Jarvis
Just been fleeced by the local optician - as usual - and still have the mental images of that match last night. So beer is the answer and the keg is there waiting.

Game of Thrones - Direwolf Brigade Pale Ale Jarvis
Very drinkable pale ale, almost pilsner in taste, at 4% an easy drinker and will be handy when the garden dries out a bit and I’m looking a quencher after some gardening.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Jarvis
A superb imperial stout, lashings of coffee and chocolate malt, nice rounded barrel ageing in bourbon adding a charred oaky flavour. They can make some fine beers in the US.

Bean Geeks - Session Porter Jarvis
Roasty, chocolate malt laced Porter, coffee and caramel notes - ticks all the boxes.

After yet more unseasonably mild weather and some serious leaf raking, I reached for a chilled one in the fridge. This is rather hoppy for lager/IPA cross, lacking a bit in flavour as a result.

Incredibly sour cherry kriek, barman’s recommendation, well it’s a good chaser to a stout.

Raking the crud out the grass has to be one of the most tedious tasks in a garden - and in humid weather, well it’s reach for a chilled can when you’re done. I like this one, good head on it, not too hoppy, highly drinkable.
