Doublebock Frederiksdal Cherries Fredholm

Very drinkable, interesting, and well made out-of-the-box Doppelbock brewed with cherries. Taste in in the hinterland of a bock and a kriek and a Vlaams Rood. This one really made a memory!

Kriek Mariage Parfait (2016) Fredholm

Very nicely aged and mellowed Kriek with lots of earth and funk. Slightly fleshy aroma upon opening. Dry and medium tart body. Apart from sour cherries, the palate reveals prunes, almond, red wine, and oak.

Iskold Classic Fredholm

Well made Vienna with a nice, hoppy bite. Caramel and toast in body with grassy and herbal bitterness above. Long aftertaste.

K:rlek Spring/Summer (2022) Fredholm

Light and easy, thirst quenching, hazy APA. Juicy and low in bitterness with rather light body. Tropical fruits and lemon dominate with some herbal and pine hints. Would have been excellent on a hot summer day.

Oude Geuze Boon Fredholm

A classic Geuze with a lot of funk, moderate tartness, and a slightly bitter tinge. Apples, grapefruit, and stableyard prevails.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°6 Fredholm

Excellent Geuze, tart and dry with lots of funk and some spiciness. A hint more bitter flavours than I remember from last edition. Stableyard, grapefruit, red apple, some almond, oak, and spices.

Vibrant P'ocean Fredholm

Interesting but perhaps not so harmonious. Elderflower is there, plus oak and American hops.

Oude Geuze A L’Ancienne VAT 108bis Mono Blend Fredholm

Bone dry, medium tart, and complex with funky and earthy aromas over a solid stone fruit base. Peach, lemon, gooseberry, hay, stableyard, oak, maple syrup, nuts, and some vanilla can be found. Medium carbonation. A marvellous gueuze!

Rosé de Gambrinus Fredholm

Well balanced Framboise with wonderful earthy aromas.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon (2018) Fredholm

Actually quite balanced sourness, and not cheek-tangling as some modern wild ales can be. Fresh cherries are there, but a bit less prominent than previous vintages. Also, a slight and attractive woody character. Bottle stored for 1 year.
