Westie banger! Wanted to try this for ages… fruit, warmth, grapefruit marmalade pith and punch. 🥊

You come all the to Brooklyn and end up with killer Cantillion on draft. Very happy… lambic with great rhubarb notes

Juicy, dry, tannic, bloobs. Not too tart, rich and harmonious lil number. Enjoyed this a lot more than last time.

LCI. First time for me, hop bitterness is prominent but balanced with funk and tartness. Very nice indeed.

Oude Geuze Boon Ă L'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend (2016) Catto
Yes yes yes. Vinous, woody, rich, dry, tart. Perfect pairing with pan-fried mackerel, rhubarb, spinach and potato.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2019) Catto
Awesome. Jammy bright raspberry, funk and tartness. Much more defined and expressive fruit than I imagined by now. This was an ideal Xmas Eve pairing with home-cured Irish spiced beef, potato salad and pickles.

#Advent day 16. Not a big lager person but darker malt backbones give them more personality and this has that in spades. Decent amount of chewiness & character… a pleasant one with some refinement behind the easygoing exterior

#Advent day 11. Now you're talking… this is what I signed up for. Lots of dry lambic sourness; intensely but beautifully tart but rich fruit. Somewhere between raspberry, cherry and plum on the taste spectrum. Polished and delicious.

#Advent 9. 1st thought… the custard bit of rhubarb & custard boiled sweets. Vanilla & chemicals. More grain, few hops. Creamy (oat/sweetcorn), boozy & artificial candies. Disappointing butterscotch-addled sub-TIPA… didn’t enjoy it. Diacetyl or not, no :-(

Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Weisse Frederiksdal Cherry Catto
#Advent day 6. Tidy enough… aroma hints more at the beer than the fruit, but pours a rich cerise with a thick creamy head. Fruit is certainly present; tartness and mild acidity make this an easy-drinking wee number
