All Day Haze

Session ale. Not bad. Some hops. Touch of fruit. Founders makes decent sessions.

All Day Crimson Sky

Another great session IPA. Which is to say a slightly above average beer. For a beer tasting beer.

All Day West Coast

Pretty crisp. Very bitter. Which is actually nice. Mostly mild. Typical for a session. This session is above average for the abomination that is a session ale.

Citrus Squall

Bright (guess what?) citrus. Big grapefruit with a nice sweet finish. Not hoppy but fruity which I usually don’t enjoy. This is extremely okay. A step up from most fruit beers.

Shelter Pale Ale

Clean crisp lines. Not much else.

Crimson Cru

Weird beer. Sweet but like a candied grapefruit. Fruity but malty. A kinda Christmas/holiday cranberry and sugar cookie feel. Weird beer. Will work for some but won’t be for all. Didn’t do it for me.

Mango Magnifico (2022)

Wanted to try one more of these. Had the original years ago. Lots of mango and a faint hint of heat. This is almost 6 months old. Thick. Rich. Wouldn't want more than one but it is a nice change of pace.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Brown sugar and vanilla with a kiss of boozy bourbon. Getting a fruity finish that works. Decent. Thanks Bob H. Glad I got to try it.

4 Giants Hazy IPA

Decently sweet with some fruitiness. Founders still makes some solid beers.

4 Giants IPA

$8.99 a 4 pack is insane value. The beer has a nice bitter bite and a refreshing citrus finish. A tad boozy but very drinkable. 5 caps for value and a solid 4 for taste. Really nice old school DIPA.

Scarlet Dawn IPA

WOLVERINES!!!!!! Oh, wait. God the 80’s were a confusing mess of propaganda and strange hairstyles. Where were you when the “Just say no.” Nancy Reagan blood flowed down the aisles of study hall? We all hated commies. We just really didn’t know why.

Mango Smoovie

Sweetness and faded mango. I bet this was great fresh. It should’ve been on clearance months ago. This is mild but decent.

Sun-Day-Feels

Mimosas. Not what I usually want from a beer but it is decent for what it is.

Nemesis (2021)

Malty sweet and pleasantly bitter. A classic barley wine. Very nice slow sipper.

All Day Vacay

Light and sweet. Slight hint of citrus hops. Mostly sweet.

Bottle Shop Series: Nemesis

Pours black like a stout. Malty with a big bitter hops presence. Smooth and satisfying. This ain’t soul food. It’s soul beer.

Big Luscious (2020)

The raspberry is prominent but the chocolate dominates the finish. Decadent.

Hazy-O!

Tropical. With everything that implies. Really nice and juicy and very reasonably priced. Great value beer. Good stuff.

Moon Rambler IPA

I’m not a big fan of milkshake IPAS but this was a bit of an old school IPA so it worked better. Usually milkshake IPAS are too sweet because they have a hazy base AND lactose but this was more of a west coast bitter/piney IPA and it worked for me.
