Chocolate, reminiscent of s’mores, but just a bit too boozy for me. Some subtleties get lost in the wash.

Backwoods Bastard P.

Sweet, bourbon, rich and thick. I’m a fan. Not my favorite founders but it’s still a knockout. Plus, the smell is always phenomenal.

Exactly as promised. Gotta rave about that raspberry—it’s good. Sweet but not saccharine. Solid beer that tasted like it could’ve used a hint of something else, but I don’t know what. Would love to have again.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) P.

First stout from Founders. Don’t let the hype and often pretentious reviews of a beer such as this one dissuade you from drinking—it’s fantastic. Heavy maple syrup, chocolate, and bourbon without being too sweet or overpowering at 11%. An insipidity brew.
