Sour and peachy. Cheesy aftertaste

Rosé de Gambrinus (2021) Campbell

Start of Europe v USA: Ryder Cup of Beer. From Belgium…and another Cantillon classic. Pure raspberry nose. Gently tart, raspberry and funk. 4.4

Classic Gueuze (2022) Campbell

Wow. Cantillon on draft. Properly tart, funky and citrus

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio Campbell

Farmyard, funky aromas. Can smell the sour fruit. Tart but beautifully balanced with delicate sweet cherry. Complex and delicious. 4.4

Peter, Pale and Mary Campbell

Light. Earthy hops, subtle fruit and a bitter finish. Bang average

Winter Bright Campbell

Fruity wheat and citrus lager-type beer. Not my favourite style but decent effort. 4.4

Velvet Rush Campbell

An advent calendar that’s exceeded expectations but this ale from a good US maker takes it up a notch. A bourbon, roast coffee and chocolate punch on the nose. Rich, smooth, decadent, all the above flavours with malt and vanilla. Big, boozy.and balanced

Between the Lines Campbell

A distinctly below average IPA for a renowned maker. Light and thin with subtle malt and citrus and a moderately bitter finish. Middle of the road, lacklustre and unremarkable in every way. 3.35

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2017) Campbell

Industrial - like Middlesbrough. Oil, tar, toast. Really unusual and interesting with a big oak influence…and a dry mildly bitter, tart taste. Farmhouse fest with citrus zest. Opens up in bottle

Oude Geuze Boon (2016-2017) Campbell

Lovely toasted funky aromas. Tart farmyard taste. Straw, hint of cheese, funk and toast. Complex, classy and seriously tasty. 4.3
