Boon Kriek Selection

In the Low Countries, so it’s Lambic time for me. Lovely cherry forward, tart and refreshing.

Saint Lamvinus

Cantillon? Okay…if you insist. I was hoping to see a football/soccer match today, but the schedule changed, so I went on a beer hunt. This will do. Definitely more on the wine angle than I usually prefer, but still so good

Rosé De Gambrinus (2022)

Great to have this again, now the 2022 version. Forgot it’s capped and corked. No corkscrew un my hotel room, so I had to push the cork in the bottle. Minimal loss thankfully. Perfect blend of lightly funky and subtle raspberry sweetness

Rosé de Gambrinus

Bottled June 2021. Raspberry but not sweet. So lucky to be able to have this. Didn’t get anything crazy rare, but still this is so good. This “Glass” is a travesty.

Rhubarb. I should have done better research to avoid the last mediocre beer spot. This is amazing. Classic tart but light sweetness.

Mamouche

Never had anything quite like this. Tart, but floral and strong pepper notes. Wow.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio

Pretty amazing. Cherry is there to take the edge off but minimal sweetness.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio

Wow…I’m jet lagged but been wanting to come here for a while. Just had a tour and now time for “quality control” as they say here. So balanced, tart but just a little bit.

Hazy-O!

One more. To me, better than many from Dogfish Head. Pretty classic NEIPA flavor. 4 might be a bit generous, more like a 3.85, but fine.

Vibrant P'ocean

Pretty red color. I like the idea. Funky, but the fruit part isn’t my thing
