Lots of maple on nose. Typical porter coffee/roasty flavors with sweetness of maple and hints of the vanilla. Easy drinking and a really good BA porter for a winters evening.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) Wood

2019 version sitting in cellar closet. Pours black, nose of maple and bourbon. Sweet maple and coffee roast, cocoa flavors, coffee more mellow with age. Not as thick or chewy as higher ABV stouts, not thin either, smooth finish. Still one of the best.

KBS Espresso Wood

Pours black with thin head. Nose with hints of vanilla and maple syrup. Drinks like CBS with maple and vanilla but with the roastiness abs mouthfeel of a porter. Worth a buy and definitely worth drinking again!

Olde School Wood

2013 bottle from BA Virtual Beer Fest shipment. Pours dark brown, nose with lots of raisins. Smooth, lots of raisin, fig, malt on palate. Aging smooths out any of the expected.alcohol at 15% ABV. Very good barleywine.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Wood

Pours dark and thick black. Lots of fudge and coffee on nose. Smooth drinking and thick but I wasn’t as thrilled with all the fudge as some - maybe because I had drank a 2019 CBS the day before which is one of my gold standards.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) Wood

Probably my favorite stout overall. 2019 variant; pours thick and black, nose with maple, chocolate, coffee. Smooth, thick, balance of the maple, coffee, chocolate is great. Drinks easy for high ABV. Holding onto tightly to my last bottles!
