Babushka Pfister

Wow! Date, fig, port overload in a good barleywine. Way more fruity than I was expecting, so I should've kept this in the fridge. I dare say a bit 'one note,' even though there are many things in this, they combine beautifully - wish there was + nuance.

Citrus Squall Pfister

Noice smelling nose. Flavor is a bit bland and the finish is quite bitter (grapefruit). A 6-pack was a mistake...

French Toast Bastard Pfister

This is a weird one! Indeed, tastes like a liquid pancake (or French toast, I suppose). I generally like it, but it also seems artificial, at least in the way all the (really strong) flavors come together. Is it the maple? Cinnamon? Interesting for sure.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Pfister

What. A. Journey. Extraordinarily complex. I get lots of sherry/port aroma. Taste: bourbon spice/burn, eventually some caramel. Finish burns the gums and then swirls around for nearly five minutes. Not all that dark or thick. This is hard to rate...

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Pfister

Last bottle of this. It hasn't grown on me over the past month+. It's well balanced - and I appreciate the mild level of barrel - but there's nothing overly satisfying or complex; nothing to draw me in for another sip. MF is light for 12%. 3.75-4

Rübæus Pfister

The first 5-10 minutes was so good while it was still cold. After that it became a bit of a slog/watery.

Más Agave Pfister

From a few weeks ago. Excellent, but I slightly prefer the uniqueness and richness of the prickly pear, though this would be the better thirst quencher on a hot day.

Más Agave Grapefruit Pfister

This variation seems to allow the tequila flavor to come through the strongest. Love this series!

Panther Cub (2021) Pfister

Took almost two months to get through a 4-pack. Well balanced - not too sweet, barrel doesn't overpower, good roast, slightly prickly - but it fails to excite. Once warmed the individual flavors are easy to pick out and enjoy. 4-4.25

Blushing Monk Pfister

Delectable! A Stella-shaped glass highlighted the raspberries better than tulip.
