Double Svart Vachna

Aroma of lyophilised blackcurrant. At least a double portion of tart blackcurrants in the taste blending with dark honey. Mouth-puckering and intense blackcurrant flavour which is simple but effective.

Dios De Pina Vachna

Aroma of baked pineapple with cloves and cinnamon quills sticking out of it. Taste blends tangy pineapple with dark honey, scoop of cinnamon and just couple of cloves. Overall sweet with hint of sourness, and intense flavours.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 31 Mono Blend Vachna

Nose of overripe apples, dried apricot skin and matured cheese in a cellar. Dry and astringent taste, subtly sour apples and apricots, hint of vanilla and walnuts, and copious amounts of bitter grapefruits. Partly oaky and partly yeasty spiciness.

Vox Populi Vachna

Citrusy and piney aroma. Juicy and sweet taste of overripe mangos and passion fruit. Low to medium hoppy bitterness.

Classic Gueuze (2022) Vachna

Matured aroma which must have been pungent originally. Dried apricots and apples from last season in a cellar with all those musty and leathery undertones. Composed taste of sour and tart stone fruits. Lemony/acidic finish. Delightful!

The Christmas Tree Vachna

Citrus, stone fruit and pine resin. On the sweet side but with pleasant hoppy bitterness which is almost at the point of balancing it out. Good enough.

Frog O Vachna

Green colour. Aroma of fermenting apples heavily dusted with powdered sugar. Tart but mostly cloying taste of sour apple gummies and honey. Maybe vanilla but difficult to distinguish it at this point. Sweetness covers the ABV too. Extreme.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Vachna

Cinnamon chocolate cake with poppy seeds, drizzled with coffee. Tasty dessert.

Underground Mountain Brown Vachna

Coffee and dark chocolate, dried berries, nuts and bourbon. Moderately sweet. Pleasant.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Vachna

Fudge, whisky, dried fruits, candied orange peel, nutmeg. Sweet, aromatic and tasty.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Vachna

Vanilla wafers with hazelnut filling, covered in chocolate, dipped into coffee then maple syrup and finally into bourbon. Not as sweet as expected. Delicious.

Ekpyrotic Universe Vachna

Sweet aroma of cantaloupe melon, overripe peaches, lime and lemon balm. Taste is also quite sweet, fruity with zesty and herbal undertones. Low bitterness and carbonation. Briefly boozy in the finish.

Strawberry O Vachna

Aroma of strawberry sundae. Taste of sugar coated sour candy with strawberry flavour. Only good thing about the flavour is that it completely masks high ABV.

Geuze Mariage Parfait Vachna

2019 vintage. Aroma kicks off with rhubarb and lemons, light honey, oaky, yeasty, earthy, hint of barnyard. Very dry and light on the palate. Tart and astringent, but still composed. Fruity, malty, funky, notes of vanilla, cloves. Complex, challenging.

Rosé de Gambrinus Vachna

Cider poured over freshly picked raspberries, rosehips and apricots. Taste opens with juicy and slightly sweet raspberries, apricots and sour apples, then slowly shifts to tart notes. Hint of red peppercorns. Fruity and refreshing from start to finish.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Vachna

Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, hint of coffee and liquorice. Taste has more coffee, which is slightly acidic. Then chocolate, lots of caramel, raisins. Chilli provides little flavour, but mostly burn in long chocolaty finish.

George Bourbon BA Vachna

Chocolate, vanilla, nuts, caramel upfront in the aroma with cappuccino in the back. Coffee comes alive in the taste but it's rather double espresso. Sweet only for a moment, then bitter with notes of bourbon, chocolate and even hint of tart dark fruits.

Scour Scandinavia Spontan Seabuckthorn Vachna

Aroma of overripe bananas left in plastic bag, splash of apple vinegar and hint of sour fruit. Sour and tart seabuckthorn in the taste, lemon juice, dry white wine. Long, sour and fruity finish. Overall light, but nose is a bit off.

Spontandoubleblueberry (2020) Vachna

Aroma of blueberry compote and lemon juice. Sour blueberries in the taste, with light apple vinegar, some tannins and spicy oak. Long warming finish.

Nelson Sauvin Brut Champagne Barrels! Vachna

Light, flowery and herbal aroma, white grapes and jasmine. In the taste, caramelised apples, dry rosehip wine. Long fruity finish.

Alkymi Vachna

Medium body and carbonation. Tart raspberries, sour cherries, sour apples, then a wave of tannins and oakiness. Long, sour, fruity and dry finish with hint of vanilla. Tannins and oakiness are a bit rough and off-putting to me. The rest is fine.
