Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Grapefruit M.
Gave blood today-gotta “keep it real” no “big boys” checking in today.

Found these beauties on a shelf in Illinois-poor things: 2 years old and in a clearance section. Bought ALL six...1st of the 6 and STUNNINGLY delicious, at this point, no longer an Imperial or DIPA, but malty/rich and a delicious Barleywine-my FAVE style!

Little something light while making dinner...

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Strawberry M.
As per a HIGH recommendation by Jeremy K. , my VERY 1st (ever) “shower beer”/seltzer-tbh couldn’t imagine the appeal, while not as refreshing as bathing in the waters of Lake of Minitonka ...it’s refreshing all the same-I get it!!

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Strawberry M.
The “middle child” of the sampler pack-better than grapefruit but not as good as the lime. Still: I’M DRINKING SELTZERS 🤯

Favorite of the sampler pack, Founders...for me, can just do no wrong! I knew their seltzer would snag me!

WOW!! I knew going in that Founders BA beers are exceptional-this series (grapefruit included), deceptively quaffable. Prickly is thick, rich, yet slightly tart-tequila barreling shines through. A top notch offering!

Yep...here it is: ME ❤️ a hard seltzer! Figures, Founders would be the ones to get me on the bandwagon! GREAT flavor and doesn’t drink “watery”.

I knew going in that this was going to be a 5 (based on other check ins) but it lives up to the hype. Fresh: thick/heavy-almost Barleywine-ish?, hell-it even looks like a BW! Definitely invest in a few more-says “ages well”-gonna test that for an IIPA

No brainer, this is a personal fave-I WILL seek it out every year. Tart initially, but BA pulls it back to sweet, and INSANELY quaffable at 9.2% Founders BA series are NOT to be missed-impo ALL winners!

HEAD 2 HEAD with CBS: cold day leading to a clash between 2 of my ALL TIME favorite stouts: CBS vs KBS Mackinaw Fudge. Results: at a personal 5 rating CBS is a solid base, but (IF available) 5.25 would go to Mackinaw as the cocoa/fudge notes.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) M.
Cellar pull #1 (that time of the year)-only makes sense as KBS is year round now-gotta make room. 2017 vintage 3 years old...AMAZINGLY aged, slightly boozy, but much subdued from fresh. When the bourbon backs down, the coffee and cocoa shine.

2nd attempt- room temp: easier drinking (at 11%= scary good) but again, impo too much going on to be a “cohesive brew”-it’s an attempt at a known success (CBS) and for me, falls short.

1st impression: slightly chilled: It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but it’s NO CBS impo-too much going on to focus on individual flavors-a “mish-mash” but a great all around offering.

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout M.
Last one of these bad boys (not cellared 😉) Just so HUGE/hot for a 3+ y/o brew!!

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout M.
Head 2 Head with Dragon’s Milk. BOTH are faves. 1st off even 3 yrs age vs fresh DFH is boozy as hell (17.5 vs 11% makes sense) idkw it’s gonna smooth out🤷🏻♂️ DM has the drink ability down pat, but the vanilla of DFH trumps the bourbon of the DM. More..

2019 “experiment” at 12+ months taking a chance on the style, but it paid off BIG TIME! Rich, full bodied, slightly tart from the lime-still catching tequila notes, salt almost non-existent. Perfectly balanced. Experiment=successful✅
