Whenever Thurmond

This is a nice easy drinking thirst quencher. It’s got a very pleasant light and clean body and its subtle classic Pilsner flavor has an enjoyable touch of complexity through its finishes’ refreshing hint of and pleasant crispness.

Beer Geek Fudgesicle BA Rye Whiskey Thurmond

This definitely nails the “fudgesicle” part. It has pretty spot on notes of cocoa and vanilla along with just the right creaminess to make it as close to a fudgescile as a beer can get. However, its barrel character to be was way too subtle for my tastes.

Bigger Doink Thurmond

This is a pleasant, easy to drink, TIPA. It has a pretty good smooth and full body and a decent fruity and hoppy flavor that’s pleasant but a tad too sweet.

Night of the Hop Creeps Thurmond

This is a good, flavorful and balanced, IPA. It has a surprisingly New England-y style smooth and full body and a good clean piney West Coast style-ish flavor with hints of hoppy herbaliness to it and a very pleasant crispy finish.

Saint Lamvinus Thurmond

This is a nice fruity lambic. It has has an easy to drink body that has just the right heft for the style and a good, pretty balanced, tart and sour vinous flavor with a nice hint of fruity sweetness to it and a solid dry finish.

Zwanze 2022 - Poivre de Gorilles Thurmond

This was a great funky brew! It has a really enjoyable full body that’s got a nice mild heft to it and a well balanced and deep mellow musty herbal flavor with spot on notes of earth pepper and a nice hint of grapefruit to it.

Nath (2021) Thurmond

This is a good, fruity-ish, Lambic. It has a really nice, surprisingly full and still, body and a well done deep, mildly sour and tart, fruity flavor with just the right kick of complex dry funk to its finish.

Zwanze 2021 - Parasol Thurmond

I thought this was a great Zwanze day brew! It has an interesting light but deep body and and a very tasty and balanced citrusy orange zest flavor with great notes of overripe funk and tart lime to it that brings it all together.

Zwanze 2020 - Brettrave Thurmond

Despite having a horrible old beet and wilted wheat grass nose, this is a pretty interesting brew. It has a surprisingly deep body that has a flavor with a lot of good vegetal, root-y/earthy, notes to it and a nice,, faintly funky, beet-y sweet finish.

Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout (2020) Thurmond

This is an enjoyable fruity stout. It has a decent deep, but not heavy, body and an interesting malty/fermented fruit, prune and plum, dominate, flavor with hints of roastiness and wood to it. While It’s a very interesting, it‘s a bit too fruity for me.
