Everything I want in a barleywine. Has gotten much better with aging; I'm very glad to have at least three more 4-packs on hand. Bitterness was aggressive at first but has subsided, and now (at least from a hophead's perspective) the balance is perfect.

Some people I usually trust (and the Untappd community overall) consider this ale disappointing or mediocre, but I love it and have just stocked up. It's aggressively hoppy and bitter, but IMO the malt backbone and high ABV make it perfectly balanced.

Not particularly distinctive in any way (because it's a "mashup" of recipes with seven hop varieties), but excellent in every way. A classic, old-school, bitter, West Coast DIPA with some piney hop flavors, which I miss in today's styles.
