Fou’ Foune (2023) Graham

Sherberty smell. Taste is sharp, but also sweet. It’s very drinkable. But it is also very dry and sherberty. I feel like I’ve had better apricot sours/wild ales. Shoot me 😱

Lucid On Loop Graham

Very light, crisp, melon, honey, slightly grassy. Really light and drinkable. Could do with a bit more oomph.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 109 Mono Blend Graham

Oliver T. bought me this years ago. Probs not best kept and hints of mould on the cork. Smell is amazing though: Rich, spicy, oaky, liquor barrels. Taste is clean, light, hugely peppery. Warming with that gueuze flavour. Lovely. Drinkability ridiculous.

Henry Hops Graham

Very crisp and citrusy, almost sour with the hops. But also a massively dry, grapey white wine finish. Not the usual Nelson/NZ hop sort of grapey, like actually tastes heavily of white wine. Thirst quenching and refreshing.

Blue Ribbon Graham

Lots of dank juicy tropical flavour. Lots of pineapple but also lots of peppery pine. Lime flavour comes through, proper strong lime rind flavour. Last of my Danish beers and yet another smashable one.

UW Graham

Fairly dank first up but with a juiciness. The piney dank flavour is crisp, slightly spicy and peppery with it to give real refreshment. Moreish, I’m fighting myself not to demolish it in seconds. Dangerously light at that ABV. Canned a week ago - fresh.

Bryg 61 Graham

Beautiful, juicy and crisp with a bit of dankness. Perfect for a Friday evening, lots of juicy hits but with great balance. Does get a touch thinner as it goes on, but it’s so drinkable. My type of Pale.

To Øl Scandi Multi-Coast Hazy Heritage IIIPA Graham

Very dank and grassy, big hit. This mellows and its pretty drinkable. Perhaps doesn’t have the full complexity of a top notch TIPA. But it does deliver on flavour and drinkability.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Graham

Thinner and more standard stout flavour than I anticipated. There is a warmth in the finish from the chilli.

Månestøv Graham

Very citrusy, lemony and lime, almost like a blonde beer. Pretty damn drinkable, so refreshing.

The Island Graham

This is good. Dank NZ hops in there are strong, really strong but there is a lager finish. Stays fairly bitter but I really love the flavour, love a NZ pilsner and this is a punchy one.

Brewtrance Graham

Well this is superb from first sip. Rich maple and chocolate. Hazelnut is there too. The booze from the bourbon barrel ageing gives it a complexity.

Dwell In the Fog Graham

Feels very green this, very dank and slightly rubbery. Don’t know the hops, but feels like it’s Galaxy or Vic Secret, that kind of grassy rubbery flavour. Wonder how this might feel with a few more weeks in the can. Pineapple flavour comes through more.

Xenotype Graham

Fairly dank this, Galaxy type flavours from the Riwaka and Strata. Strong dry hop flavour. It’s tasty, if you’re not in the mood I can imagine it wouldn’t be great. But I like it, hints of strawberry but with dankness.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2015) Graham

GW Bottle Share Beer #10. My share. Smell is leathery, gueuze funk, hint of berries. Wow, what a flavour. Sweet cherry, cola, strawberry, slightly grassy. Cherry hit but loads of stuff going on. Hint of honey? Pear? Quince? Exceptional, so close to 4.5.

Iskold Classic Graham

I like this. Surprised by the low global rating, its breadth and its got flavour, but also a really crisp finish.

Double Dippy Doo Graham

Another cupboard-aged selection from the GW Advent Calendar. Have had before. Sweet, peachy, slightly tangy. Does feel muted from its age but still great and really drinkable.
