KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) D'Aulerio

I continue to find more of the Founders KBS flavors, and wait to see if any of them will dethrone my Hazelnut…. This one definitely isn’t close…. But that’s not to say it’s bad…. It’s VERY good, but it’s no different than the original KBS. No Spiciness.

KBS Blueberry D'Aulerio

Personally, I don’t get much blueberry if any…. This KBS offers the same good quality Stout as any of their others aged in bourbon barrels, but I would’ve liked a little more blueberry…. Without that, this is like the original KBS wit a slight tartness.

Backwoods Bastard D'Aulerio

An Ale that hits ya fast when drinking harder than the average recreational drinker. Assuming that Founders KBS was started after brewing this one, it’s eerily similar the the original Breakfast Stout. Caramel and bourbon highlight this, with a heavy ABV

Chocolate Cherry KBS D'Aulerio

OH YEAH!!!!! Found another Founders KBS brew…. Chocolate Cherry Stout…. Aged in bourbon barrels, this one is top of the list (a step up from Ellicottville)…. More of the cherry tartness and still has that rich chocolate finish…. Be careful, higher ABV.

KBS Hazelnut D'Aulerio

I continue to search for more Founder’s KBS flavors, and I came across this Hazelnut…. This one wins me over with the heavy Hazelnut finish, and isn’t misleading like the ones I’ve previously tried…. Also 12% ABV, and no unpleasant ethanol finish. WINNER

Más Agave D'Aulerio

Does anyone want a Margarita in a bottle? Well, this is pretty damn close. The Gose style, warm fermented beer, is perfect when brewing with Agave plus any fruit. The light malted wheat blends well with the lime. Aging in tequila barrels makes this a win

KBS D'Aulerio

Founders’ KBS Series has its variety and I’m still trying to find them all to rate them. This one is for coffee lovers. I’m not sold on any of these brews as of yet. Flavors are misleading, and the 12% ABV leaves a heavy ethanol finish. Still tasting.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa D'Aulerio

Cinnamon, Vanilla, Cocoa…. Why the hell am I getting coconut? And lots of it…. So here we go again with another brew to add to my list as misleading…. Still very good, flavorful, and rated high.. But loses some if it’s rating due to misrepresentation.

Breakfast Stout D'Aulerio

Wowee!!! Me Likey!!! Enjoy Chocolate covered espresso beans? Well, here ya go!! I can drink this all day, and get that buzz…. Thanks again to my brother-in-law and Michiganite for turning me into a Founders fan… Tons of time & flavors went into this.

Dirty Bastard D'Aulerio

For an ale, it’s on the heavier side…. Rich, Malty, with a pleasant caramel finish…. More flavorful at room temperature.

Solid Gold D'Aulerio

Ahhhh!!!! The beauty and simplicity of a refreshing Lager or Pilsner…. Can’t rank it up there with my foreign favs like Bitburger, Grolsch, Warsteiner, or even Modelo, but it’s still refreshing.
