Didn’t get a lot of spice at first, but then after a dynamite shrimp (not as spicy as it sounds), the chili pepper flavor came out a little better, but still mellowed by the chocolate.

I get the tropical, less of the citrus, and also a bit of floral, especially in the first several sips/when cold.

WHOA!!! That’s some serious, authentic maple syrup aroma and flavor!! Smelled it and got straight up maple syrup on pancakes or French toast!! And not just Mrs Butterworth, like real maple syrup (or at least more real!) Very sweet, but matches the aroma!!

Bright and sweet-tart, food berry flavor, though not sure I would call it blueberry flavor. Bar owner says it’s pitched as “Michigan blueberries”, so maybe they taste a little tarter/different there than Oregon.

Forgot how big and dank this is!! Pretty bitter aftertaste on the tongue that lingers for a minute or two before mostly dissipating, but also has a bit of sweetness from the alcohol. Pine and citrus rind mostly, tho there might be a little floral.

Didn’t realize until today that this is a different framboise than I’ve had before. This is definitely less sweet (though still sweet), and more naturally and authentically raspberry. Pretty refreshing actually!

Tasty stuff! Doesn’t taste nearly 10%! Piney, maybe a little grapefruit.

Sweet, fruity, tropical, juicy, bright and refreshing! More pineapple than lemon or traditional citrus than the earlier beer!

‘Tis true…. Interesting mix of dank, hoppy IPA, and just a dash of wildness to give it a bright, faintly tart note, and finishes with a slight woody tannic mouthfeel (in a good way.)

Very intriguing! Like a barleywine, but I also get the orange peel and cherry, though subtle, and likely wouldn’t have if I didn’t know to look for them. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Goes down deceptively easy!

Sour reds are definitely unique! This one moderately tart at first, but as palate adjusted, it mellowed significantly. Still bright, with citrus & cherry, & slight herbal or floral note, w/o being medicinal. Easy drinking, with a hint of tannin & barrel.

Smooth, very sweet, with a hop undertone. Malty, toffee, a hint almond rica-ish even.

Chocolate and cherry are subtle. There is a richness from the chocolate and a brightness from the cherry. Pretty good.

Fairly tasty - rich, chocolatey, yet the hazelnut flavor is disappointingly artificial.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) W
This is fantastic! I get plenty of oak and bittersweet chocolate! It helped me (mostly) keep my head during a call (or series of calls) with my cable provider (Spectrum - avoid at all costs!!), that is ripping me off big time!

Thanks to Matt P for the beer! Pretty good - good hop-fruit balance (mostly tropical fruit, just a bit of peach). Would love to taste it really fresh! I’ll have to watch for it another year.

Hard to believe I haven’t had this before. Pretty good… juicy, mild hoppiness.

Thanks again to my new friends that I may never see again, but I had fun with!

I would’ve thought this was a BA porter/stout if I hadn’t seen barleywine in the write-up. Roasty, dark, rich, malty.
